Spreading The Word: Drive Carefully!

30 Aug

People drive reckless, speed and be careless, while they fail to remember the person in front/behind/side of them is a loved one. including YOURSELF. Think about thier family/friends grieving for years , a life lost, a future gone. Just because you was careless, trying to be cool, or drunk or whatever. Is it worth it??

I, too lost someone at 18 yrs old, he was killed in a car accident, just 3 months away our from high school graduation back in 2003. and to this day i still miss him, think about him.

I have car jitters, i hold on to the door handle when i think a car is too close.

Now the point to this post

This post gave me goosebumps and teary eyes. She asked to share and spread the word. So please read this post.. It’s not that bad, right??

and think, is it worth it??

Teachers Abusing Students is a NO NO

29 Aug

Just saw a post  on Twitter that has me ticked.

No this does not apply to all the teachers out there. I’m going from what I’ve seen and heard throughout the years.

Teachers abusing student in Special Education classes. They have NO right to do harm to the students. It seems like teachers feel like the students are defenseless and it’s OK to harm them, they wont tell and /or can’t defend themselves. NO it’s not OK! They have feelings too just like anybody else! if the teachers can’t handle the situation…they  SHOULDN”T teach! They should not take advantage of the fact that the students might be defenseless/helpless.

Authority and Parents: LISTEN to the students. If they tell you a teacher is doing something wrong, look into it before there is more harm done. Don’t just push it under the rug and ignore it.

Another thing that bothers me is that when  authority KNOW there was a situation of abuse and STILL let them teach after the fact. Or just take away their Special Education licence, but still let them teach in general where they can possibly still harm the other students. HELLO!!!

25 Aug

I made a motivational poster….

( all images from Pinerest, and

stuff from What’s Your Story by Heather Roselli,

Fab U Less by Traci Reed & Libby Prichett)

I made, printed a few copies for myself, friends and family, and put mine on the fridge for more visual motivation!

Then I framed a picture of our beloved dog for my mom…

Then I ate my Mom’s Yummy Pulled Pork in a pita pocket

Yum! I been liking pita pockets more than bread lately.

And yes, the pork is that yummy!

Then I struggled to get into wordpress for an hour

Finally let me in! 🙂

Other plans for today:

Go to a weekly volleyball game

Try to figure out Java for class. (well maybe, might have to put that off til tomorrow)

24 Aug

One day, I was watching TV then I noticed the volume is at the normal spot. I can’t hear it. so I turned it up full blast to 100. Still can’t hear it. I CAN”T HEAR!! I was FREAKING OUT. I was frustrated for a few days. then I realized that I lost more of my hearing… to the point where I’m full deaf…

And along came the Tinnitus… just an ongoing ringing. You are waiting for it to stop but… it just doesn’t

Even thought to myself, is this what full deaf supposed to be like?? then I asked my deaf friends and they said they said they don’t have ringing in their ears. Hmm…

I’m deaf and been having tinnitus since 2008 and had it ever since. can be bothersome but i learned how to deal with it. think i got mine from listening to my iPod too loud. I was Hard of Hearing then became full deaf and the tinnitus came at the same time. I did some research MANY times, there ‘s no real cure for it, which sucks.

I finally went to the ENT doctor after months to take a hearing test to confirm that I was deaf. It was confirmed. He said that my hearing has went wayyyyy down. It didn’t bother me. I was happy to have to officially confirmed and ready to accept the fact. Then I asked him about the tinnitus, he basically said exactly what I been researching. there’s no cure for it, avoid  salt, alcohol, caffeine, and aspirin. Yeah yeah I knew that already. Then he said maybe I should consider cochlear implant. As I was watching her interpret what the doctor was saying she had an expression on her face as she fingerspells cochlear implant. NOPE. Deaf Pride here! 🙂

As for hearing aids, I hate them. I wore them k-12 in school. Gave me headaches all the time, even made me vomit because the headaches was so bad.

Being deaf don’t bother me. I grew up with the language, already have support from the deaf community. What bothers me is the ringing in my ears.

Sausage & Cheese Quesadilla

23 Aug

Ready for a quick dinner idea?

Last week I needed to make a quick dinner before I went out of town for a few hrs.

S/O: What’s for dinner?

Me: I think i’m gonna make Quesadilla with Sausage.

Him: YESSS!!!! ( doing the gesture with his arm)

then Sausage & Cheese Quesadilla it is!

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Brown a whole roll of ground sausage
  • On a 13 x 9 baking pan,  spray with Pam or any cooking spray
  • Lay 1 or 2  (or however many you want) Flour Burrito sized Tortillas on the pan
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese all over the tortillas  ( I used mild cheddar)
  • Add the browned sausage to half of the tortillas
  • Then fold the tortillas halfwise ( should be layered like this: cheese, sausage ,cheese)
  • Bake for 3-4 mins

then enjoy!

(This can be for breakfast as well)

Chicken in a Bag #2

22 Aug

Ok, I haven’t done a food post for a while so it’s time for one!  Here you go foodies!

This not really a recipe, more like a idea for dinner.

Since I tried Kraft’s Fresh Take, I liked it,  I made my own version as you can see here:

(as i’m writing this post, S/O texts me with dinner plans: BBQ Chicken lol).

Anyway, then I came up with this.

  • Thaw out 3-6 Chicken Breasts in a freezer sized ziploc bag (if needed)

(if don’t need to thaw out, just put the chicken in the bag) then….

  • Add marinade of your choice.  (can be a bottle of marinade or marinade seasoning mix, just follow directions on the package)
  • Pop the chicken in a bag in the fridge for a few hrs and let it soak in the marinade.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • On a 13 x 9 baking pan, line with foil, spray with Pam or any cooking spray (the foil is my preference )
  • Bake for 35 mins

then enjoy the yumminess!
